8D...Ah yeah. I'm going to look at the entire Tournament as one big huge experiment, so I guess critique welcome but keep in mind I'm totally experimenting with the ENTIRE thing, so don't go too over the top.

Heh. This type of shading or whatever can get hard to see sometimes, and also...It reminds me of Tim Sale. >_>;;

I was going to do a little more in photoshop with this comment but right now it looks like no. Perhaps I'll update it. (I wasn't going to color it mind you but I was going to do some extra things.)

Notes!
Beth's little almost-emo moment at the end comes from her knowledge that she is not the best that Silver Nights has to offer, in fact, far from it, and she's wondering why they sent her anyways. She doesn't have a lot of moments like that, but she just had one so there.
Carmichael is an old coot. He actually does know the reason why Beth is being sent in there. Well. Half of it.
I'll explain more in the second (and hopefully last) digital-wise page of the intro.

If you didn't figure out, Carmichael's the investor, Beth's the competitor.

I took some creative liberty in the whole "Forest Spirits in the shape of animals will drag your character away if you're disqualified" and brought it to a whole new level. In case people didn't like it, I made it a big fat rumor that Carmichael came up with on the spot.

Also, Carmichael's design is not set in cement, so when I draw him again later either in this comic or just in plain life expect changes.
